Norfolk Feather, which brings more than 90 years of heritage in feather-filled bedding and home comfort products, is widely recognised for its craftsmanship, material quality and ethically sourced production. The brand's established reputation in pillows, duvets and textile goods positions it as a natural complement to Purecare's research-led approach to sleep wellbeing.
The acquisition aligns with Purecare's broader strategy to design products that enhance sleep quality, support healthier sleep environments and promote more restorative rest. By integrating Norfolk Feather's traditional manufacturing expertise with Purecare's innovation-driven development, the company aims to bridge heritage craftsmanship with modern sleep science.
Findings from Purecare's UK Sleep Study, which surveyed over 1,000 consumers, highlight the growing importance of sleep in daily wellbeing. While 99.8% of respondents identified sleep as essential, many reported ongoing challenges such as overheating and disrupted rest, underscoring the need for improved bedding solutions.
The combined portfolio is expected to strengthen Purecare's offering for both consumers and retailers, particularly as demand grows for wellness-focused home products. The company also noted that the integration will support its ability to address gaps in consumer awareness around the role of bedding in sleep quality.
The transition also marks a leadership change at Norfolk Feather, with long-standing director Russell Parsons retiring following the acquisition. Purecare stated that the brand will continue to evolve while maintaining its heritage values under its new ownership.
