Bed Bath and Beyond is advancing its strategic transformation with a planned acquisition of a home service brand, valued at nearly $150 million. The move signals a clear shift away from traditional retail towards higher-value, project-led home improvement categories, including kitchens, flooring and custom storage.

The proposed deal follows closely on the retailer's intended acquisition of The Container Store, expected to complete in July. Together, these transactions form part of a broader strategy to establish an integrated home services platform under its Beyond Home Services division. The platform aims to combine product retail, installation and financing into a single, end-to-end customer offering.
F9 Brands' portfolio, the company to be acquired, includes Cabinets To Go, Lumber Liquidators, Gracious Home/Thos. Baker and Southwind Building Products. These businesses collectively cover cabinetry, flooring, storage solutions and distribution, supported by extensive retail footprints and contractor networks across the United States.
According to the company, the acquisition will enable Bed Bath and Beyond to support homeowners throughout the full renovation lifecycle, from design and product selection to installation and financing. This approach is expected to increase transaction values and enhance long-term customer engagement.
Jason Delves, current CEO of F9 Brands, is set to lead Beyond Home Services. Under his leadership, F9 Brands has significantly expanded, achieving over $500 million in net sales in fiscal 2025.
Subject to due diligence and shareholder approval, the transaction is anticipated to close later in 2026, further positioning Bed Bath and Beyond within the growing home improvement and services market.
