The 64th edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano is set to take place from 21 to 26 April at Rho Fiera Milano, bringing together more than 1,900 exhibitors across 169,000 square metres of exhibition space. International participation remains strong, with 36.6% of exhibitors coming from abroad, alongside 227 brands that include both new entrants and returning participants.

The 2026 edition reinforces the fair's role as a central platform for the global design industry, with a focus on a more integrated exhibition format. Organisers highlight a cohesive system of content and curated itineraries designed to enhance navigation and engagement across the event.

Two new initiatives will be introduced this year. Salone Contract expands the exhibition's scope to include large-scale, integrated design projects, while Salone Raritas presents a curated selection of unique and collectible design pieces from 28 international galleries. Both additions reflect a broader effort to diversify the fair's offering and respond to evolving industry demands.

The programme is further enriched by thematic exhibitions. ABITO, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and curated by Palomba Serafini Associati, examines the relationship between fashion and design. Meanwhile, MADE IN MiC, commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, pays tribute to applied arts and early forms of design dating from 1900 to 1945.

Beyond the fairgrounds, the event continues its engagement with the city of Milan through a series of cultural initiatives. These include Common Archive – La Notte Bianca del Progetto, a city-wide event aimed at fostering dialogue within the design community, and the return of Design Kiosk, which will host a dedicated cultural programme.

With its expanded format and new curated platforms, the 2026 edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano underscores its ongoing role as a key meeting point for design professionals and a driver of innovation within the sector.
