Mattress manufacturer Englander brought together international licensees from Asia, the Middle East and Central America during the Winter Las Vegas Furniture Market to exchange market insights and discuss future initiatives for the brand.
The summit, held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, provided a platform for partners to share best practices and explore strategies to strengthen performance across regional markets.

"I have done licensing in the sleep products space for years, and what makes our Englander licensees so unique is that they are highly engaged in their countries. They come to the table with a vast amount of knowledge and experience. Through the sharing of ideas, each of them can come away from a meeting like this with new concepts and programs that can grow their businesses," said Lou Paige, president and CEO of Englander.
Participants highlighted the role of brand positioning, product development and regional consumer preferences in shaping growth strategies. From the Middle East, Atteb Shaffi, director of Diamond Group of Industries/Symbol, pointed to the continued appeal of American-made products in the Gulf region.
"The brand and design are very well received in the Gulf because of its heritage of technology and innovation. We carry many different international brands, but American products are sought after by our customers because of their quality and prestige," he said.
Long-standing partnerships were also emphasised during the meeting. Jack Chen, president and CEO of Bedding World, representing China and Taiwan, reflected on two decades of collaboration with the brand.
"It is an honor for us to have worked with Englander now for 20 years. It has been a very successful brand for us, and we have learned and shared a lot of great information with our international colleagues," he said.

Looking ahead, licensees expressed confidence in upcoming product launches and programmes. Luis Pedro Solares Jarquin, general manager of Ultra Industries in Guatemala, noted continued growth opportunities.
"In the first 10 years of bringing Englander to Guatemala, we have grown the business tremendously. New products, marketing, and the expertise that people like Lou (Paige) bring to this relationship help us grow our business even more," he said. "We see a lot of growth potential for Englander in our market."
The gathering underscored Englander's focus on international collaboration and knowledge-sharing as key drivers for future market development.
Englander is actively seeking retail and distribution partners across Europe and welcomes inquiries from dealers interested in bringing Englander mattresses to the European market.
