Jysk is continuing its strong European growth strategy with the opening of 18 new stores across 11 countries in April, reinforcing its focus on key urban and high-potential markets. New locations include major cities such as Amsterdam and Warsaw, alongside sites in Spain, Romania, Portugal and Italy.

The expansion follows a record financial year for the Danish retailer, which reported revenue of DKK 46.8 billion (approximately €6.3 billion) and a 27% increase in operating profit to DKK 5.6 billion (around €750 million). During the same period, Jysk opened 148 new stores and attracted 13.7 million new customers.
The latest openings highlight the company's emphasis on strengthening its presence in Europe rather than pursuing aggressive expansion into new global markets. Growth has been particularly strong in Southern and Eastern Europe, including Spain, Portugal, Romania and Bulgaria.
By targeting both major cities and regional retail parks, Jysk aims to increase accessibility and brand visibility while capturing demand in developing markets. The strategy reflects a broader retail trend of consolidating operations in regions with strong growth potential and stable consumer demand.
With a presence in 50 markets, Jysk continues to scale its footprint while maintaining a focused expansion approach, positioning itself to capitalise on ongoing demand for affordable home furnishings across Europe.
