Blending Art Deco-inspired detailing with contemporary functionality, the new upholstered bed reflects the brand's signature approach: combining craftsmanship, tailored design and practical innovation. The piece is defined by a sculptural headboard with soft, sinuous curves, paired with solid wooden feet that introduce a refined, chiselled edge. Fully upholstered, the frame delivers both visual softness and long-term comfort.
While the aesthetic is central, functionality remains a core driver. Hidden beneath the mattress is a 600-litre lift-up storage compartment, offering a discreet solution for bedding, seasonal clothing and personal belongings, maximising space without disrupting the overall design.
Philipp Nagel, Director of Neatsmith, explains the thinking behind the move: "The bedroom has become a far more considered space in recent years, it's no longer just somewhere to sleep, but somewhere to unwind and reset."
For a company with over two decades of experience in bespoke wardrobes, expanding into beds was a natural evolution. "We've been designing and making bespoke wardrobes for over 20 years, so creating a bed felt like a natural next step for us, an extension of how we think about the room as a whole, both visually and practically," Nagel continues.
The design reflects Neatsmith's established aesthetic, clean, refined and detail-driven, while introducing a softer, more expressive form. "We wanted the bed to feel soft and inviting, with subtle curves that add character, to complement both classic and more contemporary interiors," he says.
Storage integration, a hallmark of the brand, was non-negotiable. "Storage is part of our DNA, so incorporating it was essential. The hidden storage is about maximising space, without compromising on the overall design, helping to create a bedroom that feels calm and cohesive."
Available in King and Super King sizes, The Neatsmith Bed can be customised in a range of fabrics and colourways, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into different interior schemes. Prices start from £4,208.40.
With this launch, Neatsmith signals a broader ambition: moving from fitted furniture specialist to a more holistic bedroom design brand, one that balances elegance, craftsmanship and everyday practicality in equal measure.
