Andreu World presents new collections and BIO® innovation at Milan Design Week 2026

At Milan Design Week 2026, Andreu World will transform its Milan showroom into a platform for dialogue, unveiling its latest collections alongside a continued focus on material innovation and circular design.

Located on Via Alessio di Tocqueville, the showroom, designed by Patricia Urquiola, serves as a physical expression of the brand's philosophy, where design, industry and sustainability converge. More than a product showcase, the space invites reflection on the evolving role of design in shaping a more responsible future.

Under the concept "Manufacturing a Better World," the Spanish manufacturer presents a design approach that extends beyond aesthetics and function. As a certified B Corp, Andreu World promotes a model grounded in transparency, social responsibility and measurable environmental impact.

Central to this vision is the ongoing development of BIO®, the company's natural-origin thermopolymer. Biodegradable and compostable, the material represents a significant step towards reducing waste in furniture production while redefining how products are conceived from the outset.

For 2026, BIO® evolves further with the introduction of a new colour palette curated by Patricia Urquiola. Featuring organic, subtle tones, the palette strengthens the connection between material and nature while aligning with contemporary architectural environments.

Design, dialogue and collaboration
The Milan presentation also highlights Andreu World's collaborative approach, with new collections developed alongside designers including Patricia Urquiola and Benjamin Hubert. The pieces are conceived to respond to the demands of contract, hospitality and workplace settings, combining durability, adaptability and efficient use of resources.

Throughout the week, the showroom will host two open talks with Urquiola and Hubert, creating a platform for discussion around innovation, materials and sustainability. These sessions reinforce the company's commitment to fostering dialogue within the design community.

A long-term commitment to circularity
With over 70 years of industrial expertise, Andreu World continues to position itself at the forefront of responsible manufacturing. The company exclusively uses FSC®-certified wood from sustainably managed forests and invests in the development of its own materials to achieve full product circularity.

This commitment is embedded in a broader strategy that integrates craftsmanship, technological innovation and environmental responsibility. From material sourcing to product lifecycle, the focus remains on creating designs that endure, both physically and environmentally.

Now operating in more than 90 countries, with four factories and over 30 showrooms worldwide, Andreu World continues to expand its global presence while reinforcing its role in advancing design culture.

At Milan Design Week 2026, the message is clear: design is not only about creating objects, but about shaping systems, and ultimately, a more sustainable future.

A broader sustainability vision
BIO® forms part of a wider strategy that positions Andreu World as a leader in sustainable manufacturing. The company, founded in 1955, has long championed FSC®-certified wood and is now extending its focus to advanced biomaterials, recycled thermoplastics and circular textiles.

From ecodesign principles to carbon neutrality and zero-waste processes, the initiative reflects a holistic approach to sustainability, one that considers the full lifecycle of products. With BIO®, Andreu World not only introduces a new material, but redefines the role of design in shaping a circular future.
