Sofa Club has reported a strong opening weekend for its new Metrocentre showroom in Newcastle, welcoming more than 1,000 visitors over the Easter Bank Holiday period.
Located at Unit 4A, Metro Oasis, the two-level space marks the brand's latest step in its UK retail expansion, bringing its design-led offering to the Northeast. Despite closing on Easter Sunday, the showroom maintained consistent footfall from Good Friday through to Monday, with sales performance meeting expectations.

The launch weekend was supported by a programme of in-store experiences, including a live DJ, refreshments and family-focused activities such as an Easter egg hunt. The initiative aimed to create an engaging retail environment, with customers responding positively to both the atmosphere and the store's visual presentation.
Among the collections on display, Bloomsbury and Marleybone emerged as customer favourites, although interest extended across a broad range of styles, fabrics and configurations. This reflects Sofa Club's strategy of offering accessible, trend-led designs tailored to diverse consumer preferences.
The Newcastle opening represents a further milestone for the brand as it continues to strengthen its physical retail presence. Tom O'Neil, Co-Founder of Sofa Club, said: "The turnout was incredible, the energy in store was exactly what we hoped for, and it's great to see customers in the Northeast connecting with the brand in person."
Founded in 2012, Sofa Club positions itself at the intersection of fashion and interiors, focusing on fast-moving, style-driven sofa collections. With strong initial footfall and positive customer feedback, the Metrocentre showroom is expected to support continued growth in the region.
