IKEA expands reach in Canada with new Kelowna planning hub

IKEA Canada is set to open a new Plan and Order Point in Kelowna, British Columbia, on 8 April 2026, enhancing access to its services in the region.

Located at Central Park Power Centre, the site will offer customers one-on-one consultations with specialists to plan and purchase home furnishing solutions, including kitchens and storage systems. Orders can be delivered or collected on-site, while a limited range of products will be available for immediate purchase.

The format forms part of IKEA's wider strategy to create a more flexible and accessible retail model, allowing customers to engage with the brand without visiting a full-scale store.

The Kelowna location addresses a significant gap in the market, as the nearest existing IKEA customer meeting point is approximately a four-hour drive from the Thompson-Okanagan region.

IKEA currently operates 11 Plan and Order Points across Canada, supporting its aim to provide a more convenient, affordable and sustainable shopping experience.
