Flexa returns to profit after restructuring drive

Danish children's furniture manufacturer Flexa has returned to profitability following a period of restructuring, marking a turnaround after several years of losses.

The company reported a net profit of DKK 0.5m for 2025, signalling improved financial stability and a shift towards a more sustainable business model. Management described the result as an early but important milestone in the company's recovery.

CEO Casper Freddie said the improvement reflects structural changes implemented over the past year, including cost reductions, organisational adjustments and a sharper commercial focus. The business has prioritised key markets and product categories where the brand holds a stronger position.

Flexa, founded in 1972, has faced challenging market conditions in recent years, prompting a strategic overhaul aimed at creating a leaner and more resilient organisation.

Freddie noted that while the return to profit is encouraging, further work is needed to strengthen the company's core operations and long-term financial foundation.

The company now aims to build on its Danish design heritage by continuing to develop functional, durable and aesthetically driven children's furniture, positioning the latest results as the beginning of a more stable growth trajectory.
