Wayfair has opened a 150,000 sq ft flagship store in Atlanta, marking a significant step in its expansion into physical retail.
Located in a former Walmart site, the store brings the e-commerce platform's online catalogue into a tangible, in-person shopping environment. The space features 18 departments spanning furniture, décor, appliances, home improvement and children's products.

A key focus is experiential retail. Customers can test sofas, mattresses and even working bathroom fixtures, addressing one of the main limitations of online furniture shopping. Products are paired with QR codes that link directly to reviews and ordering options, enabling seamless integration between in-store browsing and digital purchasing.
The store showcases a curated selection of Wayfair's private labels, including Birch Lane, Perigold and AllModern, alongside established brands. Thousands of items are available for immediate purchase, while larger products can be delivered.
Additional services include in-store design consultations, home installation options and a café aimed at encouraging longer visits.
The opening reflects Wayfair's strategy to reduce friction in high-consideration purchases and strengthen customer confidence by combining physical interaction with digital convenience.
