German office furniture manufacturer Febrü reported a moderate decline in turnover for 2025, while continuing to invest in production and positioning itself for growth in 2026.
The Herford-based company achieved sales of €41 million in 2025, representing a 4% decrease compared to the previous year. Despite the decline, the result outperformed the broader market, where domestic business contracted by approximately 11%.
According to Managing Director Bernd Kroeger, the past year highlighted the importance of continued investment, even in a challenging economic environment. "The year 2025 presented us with challenges, but also demonstrated the importance of consistently investing in our own performance," he stated.

During the year, Febrü implemented several upgrades at its production site, including the commissioning of a new cabinet assembly line, the integration of a tabletop drilling machine and the installation of a welding robot in metal processing. The company also achieved FEMB Level 3 certification for a large portion of its product portfolio, underlining its focus on sustainability and compliance with international standards.
Looking ahead to 2026, Febrü plans to expand its sales activities, particularly within Germany, while also strengthening its presence in neighbouring markets. The company has already expanded its sales team to support broader regional coverage.
In addition to commercial growth, further investments in production are planned, especially in wood processing and edge finishing. Febrü is also increasing its marketing efforts across multiple channels to support brand visibility and partner engagement.
A key strategic development is the introduction of fire-resistant furniture as a new product segment. This expansion is expected to open up additional market opportunities and complement the company's existing portfolio of office and contract furniture.
Febrü continues to rely on its network of specialist retail partners, while aiming to support them through targeted initiatives and access to new customer groups.
With approximately 250 employees at its Herford facility and a high level of vertical integration, including in-house metal and wood production, carpentry and powder coating, Febrü is positioning itself to remain competitive in a market that is still under pressure.
The company's strategy reflects a broader industry trend, where investment in production efficiency, sustainability certification and product diversification is increasingly seen as essential to navigating ongoing market volatility.
