Vea by Villeroy & Boch: new faucet collection by designer Christian Haas

Villeroy & Boch has launched Vea, a new faucet collection designed by Christian Haas, combining minimalist aesthetics with an innovative control system aimed at simplifying everyday use.

Defined by its slim, geometric form, Vea draws inspiration from the faceted surfaces of classic perfume bottles. The subtle facets create refined light reflections while also enhancing grip, merging functional detailing with a clean, contemporary design language. This balance allows the collection to integrate seamlessly across a wide range of bathroom styles, from modern to more traditional settings.

A key feature of the collection is the introduction of ViPush, a new control technology that rethinks how faucets are operated. Water flow is activated with a simple press, while temperature is adjusted by turning the same control element. By consolidating all functions into a single interface, the design eliminates the need for additional levers, reinforcing the collection's minimalist character.

Vea is available in three finishes, chrome, chrome with a white ceramic element, and matte black with a Pure Black ceramic inlay, each offering a distinct visual identity. The integration of ceramic within the control knob creates a cohesive link with washbasins and other bathroom elements, supporting a unified design approach.

The collection includes a variety of configurations, from single-lever mixers to three-hole taps and freestanding bath fittings, making it suitable for both new-build projects and renovations. This versatility reflects the increasing demand for adaptable bathroom solutions that combine aesthetic consistency with functional performance.

Manufactured in Germany, Vea emphasises precision engineering and durability, aligning with Villeroy & Boch's long-standing focus on quality craftsmanship. The geometric detailing requires high production accuracy, underscoring the technical expertise behind the design.

With Vea, Villeroy & Boch highlights a broader shift within the bathroom sector towards integrated functionality and intuitive user experiences. As consumers and designers seek streamlined, user-friendly solutions, innovations such as push-control systems are becoming a defining feature of contemporary bathroom design.

The collection reinforces the brand's approach to combining innovation, material quality and timeless design in the development of long-lasting bathroom solutions.
