Founded in Jakobstad, Finland, in 1974, Mekrapid specialises in swivel mechanisms for both indoor and outdoor seating. Every product is developed and manufactured in-house at the company's own factory, ensuring full control over quality from first design to final delivery. Each mechanism is rigorously tested to ensure performance under demanding conditions.
Durability is proven, not just promised. Mekrapid's swivels are drop-tested, static load-tested, and rotation-tested as standard. Out of curiosity, the team even tested their flagship product, Patron swivel, through one million revolutions, and it still performed flawlessly. Today, Mekrapid's swivels are a core function in millions of chairs worldwide.
