The company highlighted the importance of in-store experience as a key driver of growth, demonstrating that brick-and-mortar retail remains relevant when combined with strong experiential elements. The opening event reflected the brand's identity, featuring live classical music, ballet performances and curated customer experiences.
CEO Mikkel Vaupell Grene described the milestone as "truly remarkable", noting that it reflects the company's evolution into an international retailer. He credited employees, referred to internally as "Sisters", for contributing to the brand's growth and customer engagement.
Looking ahead, Søstrene Grene plans to continue expanding both within existing markets and into new territories. The retailer confirmed upcoming entries into Poland and Italy, with ambitions to reach 500 stores globally within the next few years.
The milestone reinforces a broader trend in retail, where experiential store concepts play a central role in sustaining physical retail growth despite ongoing digitalisation.
