Kartell has introduced "LEPID", a new furniture collection designed by Patricia Urquiola, marking a collaboration that merges design, architecture and graphic expression.
Launched at the brand's Milan flagship store, the collection features bookshelves, sideboards and consoles conceived as "light architectures", defined by a balance between material presence and visual lightness. The design emphasises profiles as central elements, using overlaps and voids to create pieces that interact fluidly with their surroundings.

The collection is characterised by an "iconic palette" of ivory, burgundy and mustard tones, combined with contrasting edges that reinforce a strong graphic identity. Sustainability is also a key focus, with products made from recycled wood fibre panels and FSC-certified wood.
Kartell highlighted the use of a specialised interlocking system designed to ensure stability while maintaining the collection's lightweight aesthetic.
Urquiola described LEPID as a "'small family' of objects" intended to form "organic relationships within the contemporary home".
The launch reflects Kartell's ongoing emphasis on combining design innovation with responsible production and evolving living concepts.
