Gandia Blasco Group celebrates 85th anniversary with Mediterranean-inspired installation in Milan

Gandia Blasco Group will mark its 85th anniversary at Salone del Mobile 2026 with "Cult to the Sun", an installation that translates Mediterranean light, materiality and lifestyle into a contemporary design setting.

Designed by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco Lloret in collaboration with Gandiablasco Studio, the stand takes the form of a fluid, sustainable architectural structure made from linen, wood and iron. Bands of translucent natural linen define the space, filtering light and creating a layered visual effect that allows visitors to "see without revealing" the interior.

At the heart of the installation, an orange linen canvas evokes the warm glow of sunrise, enhancing the material qualities of the collections on display and reinforcing the project's atmospheric, sensory character.

Outdoors becomes the new indoors
Within this setting, the group will present new designs across its three brands, GANDIABLASCO, GAN and DIABLA, under the overarching concept "Outdoors is the new indoors", reflecting the continued blurring of boundaries between interior and exterior living.

GANDIABLASCO will showcase furniture defined by essential forms and organic geometry, with contributions from designers including Nao Tamura, Sebastian Herkner and Mayice.

GAN will highlight its focus on contemporary craftsmanship, presenting rugs, tapestries and the new GAN EDITION line, including collections such as ONDA, PANAL and ASCENSE.

DIABLA will introduce new designs aimed at the contract and outdoor sectors, including collaborations with The Design Labo and other international studios, characterised by a more playful and expressive aesthetic.

Craft meets culture
The stand will also feature works by guest artisans Pablo Yubero and Corinne Bally, bringing an additional layer of handcrafted expression to the installation. Their pieces explore material authenticity and cultural narratives, from turned wood objects to embroidered sculptural forms.

Beyond the fair
During Milan Design Week, Gandia Blasco Group will extend its presence through a series of Fuorisalone activations, including collaborations with Studiopepe, CUPRA and Porcelanosa across various locations in the city.
