Skyline Design unveils Oram outdoor collection inspired by nomadic shelters

Skyline Design has introduced Oram, a new outdoor collection designed by Belén Burguete, design director of Voolcan Group, translating the essence of traditional camping tents into a contemporary garden setting.

Positioned as "pure architecture for the garden", the Oram daybed is conceived as a refined outdoor refuge, combining privacy, comfort and a strong architectural presence. The design draws on the geometry and tension of tent structures, with inclined planes and lightweight volumes that evoke shelter while maintaining openness to the surrounding environment.

According to Burguete, the concept was to create a space that balances protection and minimalism, offering an intimate yet visually light structure that integrates seamlessly into natural settings.

Designed for terraces, poolside areas and hospitality environments, Oram is available in both single and double configurations, with the latter recreating the iconic triangular silhouette of a tent. The collection aims to provide shade and relaxation while preserving a visual connection with the landscape.

Materially, the collection combines powder-coated aluminium frames for durability with porcelain stoneware surfaces, offering resistance to scratches, impacts and weather conditions. Upholstery features solution-dyed acrylic fabric for UV and fade resistance, while the canopy is made from breathable, waterproof polyester with a PVC coating.

Design rooted in Mediterranean sensibility
Burguete's approach blends architecture and interior design, focusing on creating objects that act as atmospheres. Her work emphasises clarity, functionality and material exploration, often introducing new materials to shape contemporary outdoor living.
