The achievement forms part of the company's Parador ONE – ONE Planet. ONE Chance. initiative and is based on a structured approach focused on avoiding, reducing and compensating emissions. Through production optimisation, energy efficiency improvements and targeted investments, the company has significantly reduced its CO₂ footprint.
To address remaining emissions, Parador has partnered with EcoTree, supporting a certified reforestation project in France under the Bas Carbone label. The initiative is designed not only to capture CO₂ over the long term but also to enhance biodiversity, improve soil health and strengthen climate resilience.
CEO Neel Bradham emphasised that sustainability remains an ongoing process, with the company prioritising emission reduction while taking responsibility for unavoidable impacts through credible climate action.
Parador's efforts have also been recognised with the German Sustainability Award for Companies 2026 in the wood processing category, highlighting its integration of environmental responsibility into business strategy.
Growing demand for home gym flooring
Alongside its sustainability progress, Parador has highlighted a surge in consumer interest in home gym flooring, with Google Trends indicating a sharp rise in demand as hybrid working continues to reshape lifestyles.
According to Bradham, selecting the right flooring is key to balancing performance, comfort and design. Key considerations include durability for heavy equipment, slip resistance, sound absorption and ease of maintenance.
Materials such as luxury vinyl and laminate are increasingly favoured for home gyms, offering a combination of resilience, hygiene and aesthetic integration with the wider home environment.
Luxury retail collaboration
Parador has also strengthened its presence in the luxury retail sector, with its bespoke engineered wood flooring specified for the new Manolo Blahnik boutique in Beverly Hills, following a previous collaboration in Milan.
