Saxon Furniture has reported a return to profitability alongside modest sales growth, despite ongoing challenges across the UK furniture sector.
For the year ended 30 June 2025, the company recorded a 3.1% increase in total sales to £6.5m, up from £6.3m the previous year. Pre-tax profit reached £40,000, recovering from a £207,000 loss in 2024.

The company attributed its improved performance to a focus on operational efficiency and cost control in a difficult trading environment marked by subdued consumer confidence, cost-of-living pressures and reduced discretionary spending.
In its report, Saxon Furniture stated that it had prioritised strengthening margins through tighter control of direct costs, improved procurement practices and increased efficiencies in production. These measures, combined with disciplined overhead management, supported its return to operating profit.
The results highlight a cautious but positive trajectory for the business as it navigates a challenging market landscape.
