According to the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department, crews were alerted at 10:58pm and quickly dispatched to the scene. Firefighters from the Pudu station were joined by additional teams from Hang Tuah and Tun Razak to contain the flames and prevent further spread.

The fire severely damaged the building, affecting both the ground and upper floors, which housed furniture and perfume businesses. Officials estimate that around 70% of the structure was destroyed in the incident.

Despite the scale of the fire, the swift response helped ensure that no casualties were reported. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze and assess the total financial losses.

The incident highlights ongoing fire risks in commercial buildings, particularly those storing flammable goods such as furniture and textiles.
