Two divisions of A UK sofa manufacturing group have filed notices of intent to appoint administrators, casting uncertainty over the future of around 500 employees. The affected entities, Westbridge Furniture Limited and Belfield Leisure Limited, move into potential insolvency just over a year after the wider group was rescued through a pre-pack administration deal.

The group, TBG Furniture, had previously been acquired in February 2025 for approximately £1m by Craft Group Holding, later renamed TBG Furniture, with backing from Blandford Capital. Despite restructuring efforts, the latest filings suggest ongoing financial strain within parts of the business.
Group HR Director Claire Horner described the situation as "unsettling", noting that many employees have already begun seeking new opportunities amid fears of job losses. While the outcome remains uncertain, the coming weeks will be critical in determining whether parts of the business can be salvaged or face deeper restructuring.
