JYSK has recorded the largest opening day in its Belgian history, launching six new stores simultaneously as part of its ongoing retail expansion in the country.
The new locations, which opened at 9:00 am, are situated in Borsbeek, Bruges, Huy, Kuurne, Liège and Zottegem. The coordinated rollout represents a significant step in strengthening JYSK's national presence.

According to Frank Christant, Country Director for JYSK Belgium, France and the Netherlands, the milestone reflects both operational capability and long-term ambition. He described the multi-store launch as a "historic moment" and highlighted that further openings are planned in the coming months as the company continues to build out its network.
JYSK entered the Belgian market in 2017, and with these additions, the retailer now operates a total of 76 stores across the country. The expansion is also expected to generate more than 100 new jobs in the short term.
The move underlines JYSK's strategy of accelerating physical retail growth while increasing market coverage in key European regions.
