During Fuorisalone and miart 2026, Italian designer Roberto Bellantoni will present "Artist's Apartment", an immersive installation exploring the relationship between design and art. The exhibition will take place at the ЯLAB showroom, Via Senato 18 in Milan, from 16–25 April.
© Яevolution ArchstudioConceived as an intimate and personal environment, the installation invites visitors into a space where design objects and architectural paintings coexist, creating a dialogue between furniture, visual art and spatial storytelling. The project presents several iconic pieces designed for the ЯEVOLUTION brand alongside a new series of paintings characterised by architectural forms and emotionally charged colours.
A space between design and imagination
"Artist's Apartment" transforms the exhibition into a domestic-like setting that blurs the boundaries between reality and artistic interpretation. The rooms are arranged to evoke the feeling of entering the designer's private living space, where furniture pieces interact with two-dimensional works inspired by architecture and memory.
The paintings reference places Bellantoni has encountered throughout his life, translating them into poetic, dreamlike landscapes where buildings, tower-like structures and abstract volumes create bridges between lived experience and imagination.
Through this combination of mediums, the installation explores the concept of interior architecture as a complete artistic expression, where functional furniture design is placed in conversation with the emotional freedom of painting.
Dialogue between art and furniture
By juxtaposing furniture with artworks, the exhibition seeks to overturn traditional display formats. The chromatic dialogue between objects and paintings creates a visual continuity that engages visitors on both sensory and perceptual levels.
Each work is conceived as a fragment of personal memory or imagination, while the furniture pieces reflect the designer's lived experiences and creative process. Together they form a narrative environment where design becomes a vehicle for emotion and storytelling.
About ЯEVOLUTION Archstudio
ЯEVOLUTION Archstudio by Roberto Bellantoni is a design and architecture studio that explores new approaches to furniture and lighting design. Inspired by natural and urban landscapes encountered during the designer's travels, the studio focuses on a concept of "functional aesthetics", combining essential forms with refined materials such as fabrics, leather, metals, wood and onyx.
Bellantoni's creations are exhibited in the ЯLab in Milan, a hybrid space that functions as a creative laboratory, studio and showroom, open by appointment and during special design events.
