Humberto Campana and Job Smeets present new projects during Milano Design Week

Two new design projects by Humberto Campana and Job Smeets will debut during Milano Design Week 2026, highlighting experimental approaches to materials, form and collectible design.

The first project marks the Milano Design Week debut of Art de Vivre rugs, which will present Floralis, a collection designed by Brazilian designer Humberto Campana. Known for his expressive and nature-inspired work, Campana developed the collection from his illustration practice, exploring cellular structures and organic forms translated into handwoven rugs.

Produced by Efim Mouromtsev's Art de Vivre brand, the rugs combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design thinking. The collection reflects a dialogue between Eastern and Western influences, as well as between nature, architecture and experimental material techniques.

Floralis will be presented at Teatro Arsenale in the 5Vie design district, one of Milan's key hubs for experimental and collectible design during Design Week.

Alongside this presentation, Mouromtsev Design Editions will introduce SOFT PARADE, a collectible design collection created by Dutch designer Job Smeets, sole founder of Studio Job. The gallery, established in 2025, focuses on collectible design projects developed around thematic concepts.

Curated by Maria Cristina Didero, SOFT PARADE features six unique pieces, including daybeds, carpets, floor lamps, tables, coffee tables and lounge chairs. Several of the pieces are produced in collaboration with Italian design brand Gufram.

The collection explores a playful reversal of expectations, combining sculptural forms with soft, tactile materials. Through exaggerated proportions and unconventional compositions, the pieces challenge traditional boundaries between furniture, art and collectible objects.

SOFT PARADE will be presented at Salone Raritas, a newly launched exhibition space dedicated to collectible design.

Both projects highlight the growing influence of collectible design and cross-disciplinary experimentation within Milano Design Week, bringing together designers, galleries and craft traditions from different cultural contexts.

Efim Mouromtsev's participation marks his first appearance at Milano Design Week, positioning the designer and his brands within the international design scene through collaborations with established figures such as Campana and Smeets.
