German furniture manufacturer Himolla will showcase its range of functional seating solutions at the MESSE C Furniture Fair 2026, taking place 26–29 April in Fredericia, Denmark. The Bavarian company will present a selection of armchairs and sofas designed to combine comfort, durability and integrated functionality.

Founded in 1948 and headquartered near Munich, Himolla has grown into one of Germany's largest furniture manufacturers. The company has also maintained a presence in the Danish market for many years through its local agency run by Karsten and Charlotte Vinther, based in Brabrand.
According to Karsten Vinther, the brand is particularly known for its functional seating furniture, which integrates various comfort-enhancing features. "Himolla is known for durable furniture in German quality, and they are also known for their functional furniture, chairs, armchairs and sofas with built-in functions," he explains.
These functions include electric reclining systems, adjustable headrests and footrests, lift mechanisms and motorised controls, allowing users to personalise their seating position. Today, around 90% of Himolla's chair sales include functional features, reflecting growing demand for ergonomic and adjustable seating.
The manufacturer also develops products tailored to people with specific mobility or comfort needs, including seniors and users requiring supportive seating solutions.
Another key aspect of Himolla's offering is its focus on individual fit and ergonomics. Several chair models are available in up to eight different sizes, allowing retailers to offer seating adapted to a wide range of body types and heights.

"We have chair series available in multiple sizes, so whether you are 1.60 metres or over two metres tall, we have a chair that fits," Vinther says. The same principle applies to customers requiring seating designed for higher weight capacities.
At the Fredericia fair, visitors will be able to explore these solutions firsthand and meet both the Danish representatives and members of the German manufacturing team.
The organisers expect MESSE C Furniture Fair 2026 to attract furniture retailers from Denmark and across Scandinavia. Following a well-attended previous edition, the fair will bring exhibitors together in one exhibition hall, creating a compact and professional meeting place for the regional furniture industry.
Vinther says the Himolla team is looking forward to welcoming visitors from across the Nordic market, including retailers from Sweden and Norway, to present the company's latest seating solutions focused on German craftsmanship, comfort and functionality.
