CIFF Guangzhou opens tomorrow, bringing the global furniture industry together

Tomorrow marks the opening of the 57th edition of the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) in Guangzhou, as thousands of exhibitors and international buyers gather at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Pazhou. Running from 18 to 21 March, the first phase of the fair focuses on home furniture, home décor, home textiles, and outdoor living, setting the tone for what is expected to be another busy edition of one of the world's largest furniture trade events.

This year's event once again reflects the scale of the furniture sector, with nearly 5,000 exhibitors presenting their collections across around 850,000 square metres of exhibition space. Visitors from across the world are expected to attend, ranging from retailers and distributors to designers, architects, and sourcing specialists looking to explore new products and strengthen partnerships.

First phase focuses on home and lifestyle
The opening days of CIFF traditionally spotlight developments in residential living. Throughout the halls, brands are presenting new home furniture concepts, interior décor solutions, textiles, and outdoor collections. For many visitors, this is where broader lifestyle trends become visible, from materials and colour palettes to changes in the way furniture supports modern living.

Outdoor furniture and leisure design also continue to play a serious role. As outdoor spaces increasingly become extensions of the home, manufacturers are showcasing durable materials and adaptable designs aimed at both residential and hospitality environments.

The fair is organised so that professionals can navigate the event efficiently. While the first phase centres on home and lifestyle categories, the second phase of CIFF Guangzhou, scheduled from 28 to 31 March, will shift attention towards office and commercial furniture, as well as production technologies and materials. Together, the two phases provide a complete overview of the furniture supply chain, from design and finished products to manufacturing solutions.

Connecting physical and digital marketplace
Alongside the physical exhibition, CIFF continues to expand its digital ecosystem. Platforms such as Click2Connect allow exhibitors to maintain a year-round presence, enabling buyers to explore collections, review company profiles, and initiate contact even beyond the fair days. For many international buyers, this has become an important complement to the in-person event, helping them prepare visits in advance and maintain connections after returning home.
