Founded in 1976, Kilim Furniture has grown from a local family business into one of Turkey's leading furniture manufacturers. "From the very beginning, we focused on combining quality with innovation," says Fatih Yasar, Overseas Sales Director. "Investing in modern production facilities and automation early on allowed us to scale while maintaining consistent quality, which set the foundation for our growth."

Kilim has distinguished itself through multifunctional furniture, particularly sofa beds with innovative mechanisms. "We noticed early that urban living spaces were shrinking, and people needed furniture that could do more than one thing. That insight has guided much of our product development," Yasar explains.
Today, Turkey is one of Europe's most important furniture manufacturing hubs, and Kilim plays a key role in the industry. As one of the largest integrated furniture manufacturers in the country, Kilim operates large-scale production facilities and a strong distribution network, contributing significantly to Turkey's furniture export capacity. "Our mission is to represent the strengths of Turkish manufacturing on the global stage," says Yasar.
Kilim exports to over 50 countries, with Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the UK among the most important European markets. Eastern and Southern Europe, however, are emerging areas with high growth potential. "Consumers everywhere are increasingly looking for furniture that is functional, stylish, and space-efficient," Yasar notes. "Our click-clack sofa beds remain popular because they are simple, durable, and versatile."

Maintaining consistent quality at large scale is essential. "We achieve this through vertical integration, advanced machinery, and strict quality control at every stage," Yasar says. "Our teams are highly experienced, and continuous investment in technology and training ensures that our standards remain high, no matter the volume."
Looking ahead, Yasar sees clear trends shaping the European sofa and bedding market. "Multifunctional furniture will only become more important as urbanization continues," he predicts. "Sustainability, durable materials, modular designs, and neutral palettes are also becoming increasingly relevant for consumers across Europe."
Over the next decade, Kilim's goals are focused on growth and innovation. "We want to strengthen our international presence, expand export markets, and continue introducing products that combine design and functionality," Yasar emphasizes. "At the same time, we remain committed to sustainable production, which is central to our vision for the future."
A selection of photos showcasing Kilim's company, production facilities, and product collections will be shared shortly. "For anyone interested, we can also provide more detailed images of our machinery and production processes," Yasar adds.
