Located on Great Ancoats Street, Stocktons, the long-established retailer has begun a "£1.5m Closing Down Forever Grand Sale", offering significant reductions across luxury furniture and interior products, including sofas, dining sets and beds.
The closure marks the end of a business first established in 1953. The decision follows plans to redevelop the surrounding area, which will make way for new housing, commercial premises and public spaces.
Stocktons confirmed that the final sale will officially begin on Friday 13 March 2026, giving customers one last opportunity to purchase items before the store permanently shuts.
In a statement, the company reflected on its long-standing relationship with the local community, saying it had "really enjoyed serving the people in the area over the past 73 years" and would mark the end of its trading with a final opportunity for customers to secure "an unrepeatable deal".
The closure brings to a close decades of independent retail presence in the Manchester furniture market.
