Danish design brand Fritz Hansen has introduced Vind, a new outdoor furniture series designed by Kasper Salto, expanding its portfolio for contemporary outdoor living and hospitality environments.
The collection includes stackable chairs and a dining table, designed to create flexible layouts for terraces, cafés, hospitality projects and public outdoor spaces. Crafted from lightweight, recyclable aluminium, the series combines durability with a visually light and refined appearance, making it suitable for both residential and commercial outdoor settings.

The chairs feature handwoven, weather-resistant cord seating, adding texture while ensuring resilience in changing outdoor conditions. This combination of materials reflects a growing focus within the furniture industry on long-lasting, low-maintenance outdoor solutions that balance aesthetics with performance.
The design draws subtle inspiration from the maritime architecture and coastal landscape surrounding the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark, resulting in a calm, restrained expression that aligns with the principles of Scandinavian design.
Designer Kasper Salto, who has collaborated with Fritz Hansen for more than twenty-five years, approached the project with a focus on structure, proportion and material precision. Trained originally as a cabinetmaker, Salto is known for creating furniture that emphasises durability and clarity of form.
With Vind, Fritz Hansen continues to respond to the increasing demand for high-quality outdoor furniture within the global interiors and hospitality sectors, where adaptable and weather-resistant designs are becoming an essential part of contemporary outdoor spaces.
