Italian manufacturer MCZ Group has received the iF Design Award 2026 for its innovative EIKO 365, a pellet stove capable of both heating and cooling, marking a new step in integrated home climate solutions.

The award-winning product was recognised in the Product Design category within the "Home Furniture" segment, highlighting its combination of technological innovation, compact design and interior integration.

Established in 1954, the iF Design Award is considered one of the world's most prestigious design competitions. Each year, an independent international jury evaluates hundreds of entries through a rigorous selection process to identify outstanding design solutions across multiple industries.

Protected by a patent, EIKO 365 is the first pellet stove designed to provide warmth in winter and cooling in summer, eliminating the need for separate heating and air conditioning systems. The integrated system aims to offer a more efficient solution for climate control while saving space and reducing installation complexity.

Designed with contemporary interiors in mind, the appliance features a compact and discreet form that can be installed close to the wall without requiring bulky outdoor units. This allows the unit to function not only as a technical appliance but also as a refined furnishing element within living spaces.

By combining heating and cooling into a single product, EIKO 365 offers potential benefits in terms of energy efficiency, space optimisation and cost savings for residential environments.

The iF Design Awards ceremony will take place on 27 April at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin, where the winning projects will be officially recognised.

Founded in the 1970s, MCZ Group has grown from an artisan business into a European leader in the biomass heating sector, operating in more than 50 countries. The company develops a wide range of stoves, fireplaces and sustainable home heating solutions, combining design, innovation and environmental awareness.

In recent years, MCZ has expanded its expertise in home climate technologies through the acquisition of SIC, SITAL KLIMA and Othervisio, strengthening its position in areas including heat pumps, air conditioning and air treatment systems. EIKO 365 represents part of this strategy, offering an integrated approach to year-round indoor comfort.
