Addlux has collaborated with VULA Design to deliver a bespoke lighting scheme for a private penthouse in Oslo, Norway, drawing inspiration from the sweeping geometry and calm landscapes of the Norwegian fjords.

Designed by Pranvera Vula of VULA Design, the project translates the forms and atmosphere of Norway's natural environment into a contemporary residential interior. The penthouse features an open-plan layout with bespoke finishes, requiring a lighting approach that could integrate discreetly within the architecture while enhancing the textures and sculptural elements throughout the space.
To meet these requirements, Addlux supplied ultra-thin LED sheet systems designed to provide even illumination while maintaining the integrity of the interior design concept. The lighting was developed to work seamlessly within ceilings and coves, allowing the system to remain largely invisible while highlighting the materials and architectural forms.
A central challenge in the project was achieving precise lighting for the apartment's complex, organic shapes while maintaining a visually clean aesthetic. Addlux worked closely with VULA Design from the early design stages to ensure the lighting strategy supported both the architectural specification and the visual narrative of the space.

The integrated LED sheets deliver uniform light distribution across stone surfaces and sculptural features, helping to emphasise the penthouse's fjord-inspired geometry. By embedding the lighting within architectural elements, the design team sought to balance technical performance with a restrained visual presence.
Niels Fullerton-Batten, Director at Addlux, commented on the collaboration:
"This project was an opportunity to showcase our design-led approach to architectural lighting. The fjord-inspired forms challenged us to deliver solutions that are both precise and visually impactful. The result is a penthouse where every detail is enhanced by seamless, integrated light."
The project highlights the role of early collaboration between lighting specialists and interior architects in complex residential schemes, particularly where lighting must support both technical requirements and design intent.
