Forte reports rebound in financial performance after difficult period

Polish furniture manufacturer Forte Group has reported a notable improvement in financial performance after three quarters of 2025, signalling a return to profitability following a difficult period for the European furniture sector. According to the management board's report published at the end of February, the company generated PLN 858.5 million in revenue between April and December 2025, representing an 11% increase compared with PLN 772.4 million during the same period in 2024. The results indicate a stabilisation of the group's financial position after several challenging years.

A significant share of revenue came from the group's subsidiary Tanne, which produces furniture boards. Sales of surplus board accounted for 20.3% of total revenue, with external board sales reaching PLN 174.1 million, a 56.2% increase year-on-year. Furniture and related products remained the company's core business, representing 79.7% of sales, with exports continuing to dominate. German-speaking countries remained the group's largest market, followed by Western and Northern Europe and Poland.

At the end of 2025, Forte also completed the acquisition of the remaining 49% stake in Specific, becoming the sole owner of the company as of January 1, 2026, which means its results will now be fully consolidated in the group's financial reporting.

According to the management board, the company's strategy focuses on diversification, brand development and innovation. Despite internal improvements, the broader European furniture market remains under pressure due to weak consumer demand, economic uncertainty and increasing competition from Asian manufacturers.
