The 33rd edition of Proposte, the international fair dedicated to high-end furnishing fabrics, curtains, trimmings and wallcoverings, will take place from 5 to 7 May 2026 at Villa Erba in Cernobbio, Lake Como. Recognised as one of the most important events for the global home textile industry, the fair will gather 87 exhibitors from 14 countries across four continents, representing the highest level of production in the sector.

The 2026 edition introduces the theme "Heritage Forward," highlighting how craftsmanship, research and manufacturing heritage continue to shape the future of furnishing textiles.
"Proposte represents a heritage built over time thanks to a rigorous selection process and a shared vision with exhibiting companies," said Marco Parravicini, President of Proposte. "With Heritage Forward, we want to reaffirm the value of our manufacturing legacy, projecting it toward the future challenges of the sector: technological innovation, responsibility and internationalization. Quality remains our cornerstone, but it is through continuous evolution that we intend to strengthen the fair's role in the global landscape."
The event also marks the first edition under Parravicini's presidency, working alongside Massimo Mosiello, director of the fair.
The exhibitors, the core of the event, include long-standing participants who have been present since the fair's early editions, alongside several new additions. The 2026 edition welcomes eight new Italian companies, the first Lithuanian exhibitor, the return of a Scottish manufacturer, and the debut of a Belgian company, reflecting the continued international expansion of the event.
"The 2026 edition confirms Proposte's ability to attract highly qualified companies and strategic international markets," said Massimo Mosiello. "The growth in international participation and the entry of new companies demonstrate the vitality of the sector and the fair's central role as a space for targeted networking and concrete business opportunities."

This year's edition will also enhance the visitor experience through redesigned shared spaces created by architect Cristina Celestino. Her studio has developed an interior concept that interprets the Heritage Forward theme throughout the fair's common areas, including the Ala Regina exhibition area and the Sala Esedra lounge, creating spaces for meetings, cultural activities and networking.
"For Proposte, I imagined spaces capable of restoring centrality to the experience of meeting, through a language that dialogues with the architectural identity of Villa Erba and the textile tradition, reinterpreting them with a contemporary sensibility," said Cristina Celestino.
Running alongside the fair, the Comocrea Interni event, dedicated to textile design for home furnishings, will also take place in Cernobbio, further reinforcing Lake Como's position as a key destination for the international home textile industry.
