Cantori marks 50 years of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary design

Italian furniture brand Cantori celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades of design rooted in craftsmanship, material expertise and a distinctive approach to contemporary interiors.

Founded in 1976 in Camerano, in Italy's Marche region, by Sante Cantori, the company emerged from a local tradition of metalworking and artisanal production. From its early years producing brass beds, Cantori gradually expanded its offering to include complete furniture collections for the home, developing a design language where metal, wood, textiles and surfaces interact through a balance of structure and detail.

The anniversary reflects not only a milestone in time but also the continuity of an entrepreneurial vision that has evolved alongside contemporary design trends while maintaining a strong identity.

Today, the company is led by the second generation of the Cantori family, with Federica and Marco Cantori continuing the path established by the founder. Under their leadership, the brand has expanded internationally while maintaining its roots in the Marche region and its commitment to the principles of Made in Italy craftsmanship.

A defining characteristic of Cantori's production approach is the integration of traditional manual techniques with advanced industrial processes, supported by ongoing research into materials and rigorous quality control. This balance between craftsmanship and innovation has enabled the company to collaborate with internationally recognised designers and to develop a cohesive portfolio of furniture and accessories.

Cantori's collections are designed for residential, hospitality and contract interiors, offering a high level of customisation that allows architects and interior designers to adapt pieces to specific project requirements. Over time, the company has also developed more than 25 years of experience in the yachting sector, applying its expertise to bespoke interior solutions for luxury vessels.

Reinforcing its connection to the design world, the company launched the Cantori Design Challenge in 2025, a nautical design competition organised in collaboration with Cantiere delle Marche. The initiative invited ten internationally renowned architectural studios to reinterpret the interiors of a Flexplorer 146 yacht, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue between architecture, interior design and naval engineering.

Fifty years after its foundation, Cantori continues to position its heritage as a living resource for innovation. Through its combination of craftsmanship, design research and international outlook, the brand remains committed to shaping contemporary interiors while preserving the cultural values of Italian manufacturing.
