Italian luxury furniture brand Minotti has expanded its presence in Africa with the opening of a new flagship store in Johannesburg, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy in the region. Located in the Rosebank district, the showroom opened in October in partnership with Limeline, the brand's long-standing collaborator in South Africa.

The opening follows the launch of Minotti's first monobrand store in Cape Town in 2017, also developed with Limeline, and represents a further step in strengthening the brand's presence in a country with a rapidly evolving architectural and design landscape.
Designed by Minotti Studio, the Johannesburg showroom spans approximately 400 square metres on a single floor. The space has been conceived as a dynamic exhibition environment where architects, interior designers and design enthusiasts can explore the brand's latest collections within a series of carefully curated settings.
The interior layout presents distinct living, dining and outdoor areas, allowing visitors to experience Minotti's design philosophy across different residential contexts. The showroom prominently features pieces from the latest Minotti collection, including the Coupé seating system and the Laurel armchair, both designed by Giampiero Tagliaferri.
The design of the space reflects Minotti's signature aesthetic, combining wood, concrete and travertine within a sophisticated neutral palette. Brushed aluminium walls and mirrored surfaces enhance the natural light throughout the showroom, while a central fireplace acts as a focal point for informal gatherings and moments of conviviality.

The store also emphasises outdoor living, an important aspect of the South African lifestyle. The exterior area showcases the Daylight system by GamFratesi and the Rayan Outdoor table by Hannes Peer, highlighting the seamless transition between indoor and outdoor environments.
With the Johannesburg opening, Minotti continues to expand its global retail network while strengthening its position within emerging design markets. The new flagship store offers a dedicated platform for contemporary Italian design in South Africa, bringing together Minotti's craftsmanship, material research and refined design language within a local cultural context.
