Italian contract furniture specialist New Life has completed the interior furnishings for L'Antica Ricetta, a restaurant project in Còrmons, Friuli, developed from a concept by designer Roberta Tosolini. The project has already attracted international recognition, having been shortlisted for the INT Interior Design Awards 2025, which celebrate excellence in global interior design.

The design reinterprets the traditional "Tinel", the historic room used in Friuli homes to welcome guests, translating this cultural reference into a contemporary hospitality setting. New Life played a central role in bringing the concept to life through a series of bespoke furniture solutions, reflecting the company's expertise in contract and custom-made interiors.
A key feature of the space is a pair of large sculptural benches, one concave and one convex, developed specifically for the project. The pieces required advanced craftsmanship to translate the architecture's flowing lines into functional seating elements.
The furniture manufacturer also created several custom tables, adapting existing catalogue designs to suit the restaurant environment. Crafted in walnut, the material was chosen both for its refined aesthetic qualities and for its connection to the culinary identity of L'Antica Ricetta.
Among the customised pieces are two reinterpretations of the I-Conico table, alongside Flo tables developed in two different sizes, each featuring bespoke walnut tops.
The interior scheme balances contemporary craftsmanship with historic character. Antique chairs recovered from the building have been preserved within the design, introducing authentic traces of the location's past. Complementing these elements are velvet-upholstered poufs from the And Seat System collection, adding a softer and more contemporary layer to the space.
