The Danish furniture wholesaler House Nordic is preparing for its next phase of international growth. Following its participation at the international furniture fair Meble Polska in Poznań, the company is strengthening its logistics infrastructure ahead of 2026 and 2027 to support increasing demand across multiple global markets.
At the center of this strategy is the construction of a 16,000-square-meter high-bay warehouse in Søndersø, Denmark, scheduled for completion in October 2026. At the same time, the company will retain several of its largest existing warehouses, meaning House Nordic will operate more than 30,000 square meters of total warehouse capacity once the new facility is completed.
According to founder and CEO Henrik Jørgensen, the expansion is designed to support continued growth across a wide range of international markets.
"Our ambition is to be a strong and reliable partner for our customers worldwide. That requires both capacity and flexibility in our logistics. By investing in a new central warehouse while keeping some of our largest existing facilities, we are building a structure that supports our next stage of growth," he says.

New logistics hub
The new logistics center will be built on a 95,000-square-meter industrial site south of Søndersø. The facility will accommodate approximately 15,000 pallet spaces and will function as a central hub in House Nordic's distribution network.
Today, the company operates warehouse facilities across several locations on the island of Funen, including Søndersø, Odense and Vissenbjerg. With the new warehouse, a large part of the company's operations will be consolidated, while selected existing warehouses will remain active to maintain operational flexibility.
"We are consolidating a significant part of our operations, but we will also keep some of our largest warehouses. This allows us to combine a strong central hub with a total warehouse capacity of more than 30,000 square meters," says Henrik Jørgensen.
The structure will make it easier for the company to manage seasonal fluctuations, new product launches and growing order volumes.
Strengthening delivery reliability globally
House Nordic supplies furniture and home accessories to customers in around 50 countries worldwide, including retailers and online platforms.
As the business continues to expand internationally, efficient logistics and reliable delivery have become increasingly important particularly in a furniture industry where global shipping can be affected by geopolitical tensions and disruptions in supply chains.
The new logistics setup is designed to:
-reduce internal transport between warehouses
-improve inventory management and order flow
-shorten delivery times to international customers
-strengthen resilience against global supply chain disruptions
"When we bring a larger share of our inventory into one integrated system, we gain a completely different level of efficiency. That makes a big difference for both speed and service," the CEO explains.
Trade fairs remain key to global growth
Earlier this year, House Nordic exhibited at Meble Polska in Poznań, where the company presented its collection of Scandinavian-inspired furniture and home décor products to international buyers and retailers.
Trade fairs remain an important part of the company's strategy to strengthen relationships with customers and partners across multiple markets. According to Rasmus T. Andersen, Sales Representative at House Nordic, the fair provided valuable insights and strong customer engagement.
"Trade fairs like Meble Polska are extremely important for us. They give us the opportunity to meet both long-standing customers and new potential partners from many different countries. The response to our collections this year was very positive, which strengthens our confidence in the continued international demand," says Rasmus T. Andersen.
The next edition of the fair will take place in February 2027, by which time House Nordic expects to operate with an even stronger logistics platform.
Building the foundation for the next growth phase
The new logistics center is developed through the real estate company Nordhub Ejendomme ApS, jointly owned by Henrik Jørgensen and investors Torben Villadsen and Brian Slot. Construction will be carried out by Danish contractor IBG A/S.
The land has deliberately been purchased with additional capacity in mind, allowing for further expansion in the future. "This is a long-term investment. It is not only about 2026 but about creating a platform that can support our growth for many years ahead," says Henrik Jørgensen.
With expanded warehouse capacity, continued international market presence and a strengthened logistics infrastructure, House Nordic is positioning itself for its next growth chapter heading into 2027 and beyond.
