The company reports consistent improvements in its sustainability performance during 2025, supported by independently verified targets aligned with the Science Based Targets Initiative. By 2030, Hansgrohe aims to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by more than 77 per cent compared with 2021, alongside a 25 per cent reduction across its value chain. Key measures include a full transition to renewable electricity at production sites, the installation of photovoltaic systems in Germany and Serbia, and the gradual replacement of heating systems with green-electricity-powered heat pumps. The group also plans to equip all water-carrying products with water- and energy-saving technologies by 2030 to reduce emissions during the usage phase of its products.
Progress has also been made in circular economy initiatives, particularly in materials and packaging. Since the end of 2025, all new product packaging launched by Hansgrohe has been plastic-free, significantly reducing annual plastic use. The company has also introduced a dedicated recycling facility for chrome-plated plastic components at its Offenburg site, enabling ABS plastics to be recovered and reused directly in production. These initiatives underline Hansgrohe's strategy of combining product innovation with operational changes to embed sustainability across its business.
Together, the EcoVadis Platinum rating and improved CDP score serve as external validation of Hansgrohe's long-term sustainability strategy, reinforcing its ambition to align environmental responsibility with commercial performance as it continues to scale globally.
