Kristopher Heard, 39, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court to felony counts of organised retail theft and conspiracy offences linked to incidents in May and August 2025. He was sentenced to nine to 23 months in county jail, followed by four years of probation. The court also ordered him to avoid all Home Depot stores and undergo substance use disorder supervision.

Investigators said the group carried out 38 thefts in Philadelphia and neighbouring counties, targeting high-value items including pressure washers, air conditioners and power tools. Surveillance footage captured suspects loading goods onto carts and leaving without paying.

Heard and two alleged accomplices were accused of selling stolen items through "porch sales" at below market prices. Police recovered about $10,000 in stolen goods during coordinated arrests in August 2025.
