Haworth hits record $2.7bn in global sales as hybrid work fuels office demand

Haworth posted record global sales of $2.7bn in 2025, up 8% year on year, as renewed demand for high-quality workplaces and a decade-long diversification strategy helped offset ongoing uncertainty in commercial real estate. The family-owned company, headquartered in Holland, Michigan, said growth was driven primarily by its core office furniture business, with employers continuing to reconfigure spaces for hybrid work.

Chief executive Franco Bianchi credited the performance to companies placing greater value on well-designed environments to attract and retain talent as technology and AI reshape how people work. He said Haworth's broader portfolio, built through acquisitions in hospitality, home interiors and automotive design since 2014, has sharpened its approach to workplace design and opened new growth avenues. After a dip in 2024, the business returned to a steady upward trajectory in 2025, continuing momentum built since the post-pandemic rebound.

Manufacturing strength in West Michigan also underpinned results. Around three-quarters of products sold in the Americas are made in Michigan facilities, limiting exposure to tariffs on finished imports, though higher raw material costs remain a headwind. Looking ahead, Haworth remains optimistic about 2026 despite economic uncertainty, with leadership arguing that ongoing change in how and where people work continues to create opportunity for brands that can adapt quickly.
