Bensons for Beds achieves record profitability and expands store network

Bensons for Beds delivered its strongest financial performance since its 2019 acquisition, reporting adjusted EBITDA of £4.8 million for the 52 weeks to September 27, 2025—an improvement of £5.7 million year-on-year. Gross ordered sales rose 4% to £324.8 million, marking thirteen consecutive quarters of growth, with the retailer continuing to outpace the broader bedding and furniture market while increasing market share, according to Global Data.

This positive momentum has carried into FY26, with early trading, including the peak Boxing Day-to-January period, surpassing FY25 performance. The year saw 21 new store openings, moving closer to Bensons' long-term target of over 200 locations. Notable developments included the launch of a Tottenham Court Road flagship store and refurbishment of existing sites, which are delivering strong returns within six months.

The company also strengthened its customer experience and staff engagement, achieving its highest Net Promoter Score since measurement began and earning certification as a Great Place to Work. With over 300,000 Trustpilot reviews averaging 4.7 out of 5, Bensons continues to build customer trust and loyalty.

CEO Nick Collard highlighted the company's focus on operational excellence, employee development, and customer experience as key drivers behind the performance: "Investment in our people, our stores, and our overall customer experience is translating into stronger performance and a more resilient business."

With ongoing expansion, strong cash generation, and continued investment in staff and store networks, Bensons for Beds enters 2026 positioned for sustainable growth and market leadership in the UK bedding sector.
