Light + Building 2026: around 2,000 exhibitors set to showcase innovation in Frankfurt

From 8 to 13 March, Light + Building, the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building services technology, will welcome around 2,000 exhibitors from across the globe, highlighting the latest in lighting, building automation, electrical engineering and security technology.

The event will see 75 per cent international participation, with strong representation from China, Italy, Turkey, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Austria and the United Kingdom. The exhibition grounds are divided into eastern halls dedicated to lighting and western halls focusing on building technology, electrical engineering and home automation.

Lighting highlights include:

  • Technical lighting for workplaces, educational facilities, industry and public spaces (Halls 3.0, 4.0, 4.1, 5.1, Forum)
  • Urban lighting concepts for streets, squares and public spaces (Hall 4.0)
  • Design-focused and decorative lighting for residential and hospitality spaces (Halls 3.1, 6)
  • Components for smart lighting technology (Hall 8)
  • Building technology and automation will feature:
  • Electrical installations, energy management and charging infrastructure (Hall 9, 11, 12)
  • Building automation platforms and connected energy distribution (Hall 11)
  • Integrated security solutions combining efficiency, comfort and protection (Hall 9)
