Get Laid Beds sees record sales and expands commercial strategy

Leicestershire-based bed manufacturer Get Laid Beds closed 2025 on a high note, achieving record sales during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with more than £500,000 in revenue over the weekend. Black Friday alone saw a 32% increase compared to the previous highest day in 2024, contributing to a 36% overall uplift across the weekend. These results reflect growing demand for the company's premium, handmade wooden bed frames, crafted from 100% solid wood using traditional carpentry techniques.

To support expansion, Get Laid Beds has invested in its manufacturing operations, including the addition of a precision turning lathe, enhancing consistency and output across its turned components without compromising its artisanal approach. CEO Scott Shields emphasized the company's commitment to quality, stating that growth is being pursued while remaining true to the brand's founding principles of craftsmanship and full control over production.

The company is also accelerating its B2B and commercial focus, appointing Melanie Whetstone as Commercial Sales Manager to lead its Trade division. Her interior design expertise is intended to strengthen competitiveness in hospitality, retail, and large-scale residential projects.

International demand has also surged, with revenue from European markets up 151% year-on-year, contributing over £500,000, and total overseas revenue reaching £3.4 million in 2025. The company plans to double trade performance in the coming year, investing in specialist talent and pursuing new contracts across the UK, US, and Europe, while continuing to support local manufacturing and job creation in Leicestershire.
