Géant du Meuble expands network and unveils modernised store concept

In February 2026, the Sagam group confirmed the continued growth of its Géant du Meuble brand, announcing a new store in Rieux (56) and the renovation of the Cavagna store in Issoire (63), which will reopen on March 7 with a modernised interior. These moves reflect both the network's appeal to new franchisees and the brand's ongoing strategy to harmonise its visual identity across all locations.

The Rieux addition follows previous openings in Narbonne (11) in 2024 and Limoux (11) in 2025, highlighting a steady expansion trajectory. Founded in 1973, the Sagam group unites nearly 80 stores in France under three banners, Géant du Meuble, Logial, and Côté Meubles, offering support in purchasing, sales, and marketing. By integrating independent retailers into its network, the group strengthens its territorial presence in a furniture market marked by uneven consumer cycles.

Alongside growth, Géant du Meuble is modernising its store concept to enhance the customer experience. The Cavagna store renovation follows similar updates at Meubles Ortelli in 2023 and Meubles Husson in 2025. The rollout emphasises consistency in architecture, design, and service standards, aligning all stores with the brand's renewed visual identity.

Sagam describes its dual strategy as combining network expansion with concept modernisation, positioning itself as "a central purchasing group for its members, by its members." This approach underscores the group's entrepreneurial model, where attracting new franchisees and elevating the in-store experience work hand in hand to reinforce the brand's visibility and appeal.
