The interzum forum italy Award 2026 is set to celebrate sustainable innovation across the furniture supply chain and interior design industry. Although still a young initiative, the award has already distinguished itself as the first international recognition dedicated specifically to the technical supply chain of the furniture sector, honouring products, machinery and services that enable sustainable transformation.

Established within interzum forum italy, the networking event for the furniture and interior design supply industry, the award reaches its second edition in 2026 and will be presented during the forum in Bergamo on 4–5 June 2026. This year's edition is guided by an internationally renowned jury of experts from the worlds of design, materials innovation and industry, ensuring a high-level and interdisciplinary evaluation process.
International jury and categories
Applications can be submitted until 17 April 2026 via the official event website. The jury will assess entries in two main categories, Innovation and ESG & Sustainability, across three core sectors:
- Functions & Components
- Materials & Nature
- Textile & Machinery
The winners and honourable mentions will be announced during an awards ceremony on 4 June 2026 at the Trend Stage of the trade fair. In addition, selected projects and companies will be highlighted through the event's communication channels and on-site formats throughout the forum.
Beyond the Furniture: towards the future of interiors
The second edition of interzum forum italy is themed "Beyond the Furniture: Towards the Future", offering a forward-looking perspective on the evolution of design and production. The programme will explore developments across the three key areas, Functions & Components, Materials & Nature, and Textile & Machinery, with interior design acting as a unifying leitmotif.
This year's edition is further strengthened through its integration with Surface in Motion Italia, organised by the German trade magazine möbelfertigung. The collaboration reinforces the forum's focus on decorative surfaces and wood-based materials, positioning the event as a reference point for trends, industry dialogue and professional networking.

The conference programme is being developed in collaboration with a broad range of institutional knowledge partners and industry associations, underlining the forum's strong professional positioning. Participation is free of charge, although registration is mandatory and access is reserved exclusively for trade visitors, including manufacturers, suppliers, architects, designers, associations and buyers.
