Kvik appoints new CIO to accelerate transformation

Danish kitchen specialist Kvik has appointed Søren Sivebæk as Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective 1 March 2026, creating a new executive role to support its growth ambitions and digital transformation across European markets.

The appointment strengthens the company's management team with dedicated IT leadership and forms part of a wider transformation programme initiated by CEO Claus Flyger Pejstrup since taking office in 2025.

"Kvik has brought in Søren Sivebæk specifically to further accelerate the digitalization of customer journeys and purchasing experiences, the digitalization of our store operations, as well as our overall operating model. Søren comes from successful brands and retail concepts that excel in precisely these areas, and with his solid experience, we are confident that he can strengthen the organization and contribute to Kvik's continued development. Therefore, we are very much looking forward to welcoming him," says Claus Flyger Pejstrup.

Søren Sivebæk brings extensive experience in IT leadership and retail transformation. Most recently, he served as CIO at Danish variety chain Normal, where over the past decade he oversaw IT and digital development during a period of rapid expansion. The retailer now operates more than 900 stores across Europe.

During his tenure at Normal, Sivebæk worked on scaling IT operations, developing omnichannel customer journeys, and optimising logistics and retail processes. Earlier in his career, he held CIO responsibilities at Flying Tiger Copenhagen and senior leadership roles at Toys "R" Us / BR and Salling Group.

At Kvik, he will lead the continued development of digital platforms and IT infrastructure, supporting both franchise stores and internal teams while enhancing customer interactions across physical and digital touchpoints. In addition to heading the IT function, he will join the company's Management Team.

Founded in 1983, Kvik supplies Danish-designed kitchens, bathrooms and wardrobes at accessible price points. The multinational company is headquartered and primarily manufactures in Vildbjerg, northwest of Herning, Denmark, with all products produced in Europe. Kvik operates more than 180 franchise stores across 13 countries and is part of Ballingslöv Int. AB.

The creation of the CIO role signals a strategic focus on digital capability as the company continues to scale its retail network and modernise operations across channels.
