Light as sculpture: Castro Lighting unveils spring/summer 2026 collections

Castro Lighting continues to redefine interior illumination with its Spring/Summer 2026 collections, presenting lighting as a sculptural medium that shapes atmosphere, enhances materiality, and transforms spaces into immersive experiences.

The Flow Collection captures the elegance of movement in suspended form. Conceived as "an abstract composition of curves that appear to drift effortlessly through the air," each piece offers a visual rhythm that feels organic and continuous. "The silhouette shifts subtly depending on perspective, inviting the eye to follow its fluid contours," the brand notes, emphasising that this sense of motion energises living spaces while maintaining refinement and balance.

Flow is highly adaptable, with pieces tailored in size and configuration to suit architectural contexts. "Whether installed as a central feature above a seating area or extended across a larger composition, it becomes a bespoke statement shaped by intention," Castro Lighting explains. Adjustable illumination, from soft, intimate glows to brighter, socially focused light—further enhances the collection's versatility, introducing "continuity and harmony, elevating the ambience without overwhelming it."

In contrast, the Magma Collection embodies depth and intensity. Inspired by molten landscapes, the collection combines sculptural brass forms with sleek glass tubes. "The metal carries richness and warmth, while the glass introduces clarity and refinement," Castro Lighting states. When illuminated, light diffuses through the glass and reflects against the brass, producing "a layered and atmospheric effect." Magma's confident, bold presence anchors dining and living spaces while balancing raw inspiration with precise craftsmanship.

Both Flow and Magma exemplify the studio's philosophy of turning light into narrative, reflecting individuality and enhancing spatial experience. "These collections demonstrate that when material, craftsmanship, and design vision align, illumination becomes transformative, an essential architectural gesture, one that defines how a space is felt as much as how it is seen," Castro Lighting asserts.
