Japanese furniture brand NII will make its first appearance outside Japan at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026, taking place from 21 to 26 April in Hall 22, Booth A27. Born from ITOKI, which has over a century of experience in observing and shaping professional environments, NII presents a new vision of work as a shared, evolving experience rather than a mere function.

The debut collection comprises four product families, each developed by a distinct design team. Studio AMDL CIRCLE, led by Michele De Lucchi, explores layers and micro-architectures, while Todd Bracher, Rodolfo Agrella, and Jun Aizaki / CRÈME focus on gesture, reconfigurability, and fluidity in workspace design.
Under creative director Hirotaka Tako, NII embodies ITOKI's principle "Tech × Design Based on People," emphasising research-driven design that fosters communication, collaboration, and imagination. Furniture is designed to suggest rather than prescribe use, with adaptable modules and surfaces encouraging interaction and flexibility in both work and public spaces.
NII's Salone debut marks the start of its international journey, signalling a shift towards workspaces that prioritise human relationships, movement, and shared experience over rigid functionality. The brand positions itself as a forward-thinking player in the evolving dialogue on office and public-space design.
