The Tyne and Wear-based kitchen and bedroom furniture manufacturer, Imperial Cabinet, operates from its headquarters in Blaydon, on the Addison Industrial Estate. Incorporated in January 2013, the business reported a fall in profitability in its latest filings at Companies House.

For the year ended 31 March 2025, profit declined to £66,993, down from £75,128 in 2024, reflecting ongoing financial pressures on the manufacturer.

The appointment of administrators places the future of the business and its operations under review, amid challenging trading conditions for UK furniture manufacturing.
